Adding a new Email Account to iPhone

These are the settings needed to configure an email account on iPhone.

Username: email@example.com (full e-mail address)
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: mail.example.com (where example.com is your domain)
IMAP Port: 993
Outgoing Server: mail.example.com (where example.com is your domain)
Username: email@example.com (full e-mail address)
Password: Use the email account’s password.
SMTP Port: 465

Instructions for adding an email account to your iPhone:

  • Open the Settings app
  • Then scroll down to "Email"
  • Then "Accounts"
  • Then "Add Account"
  • Choose "Other"
  • The "Add Mail Account"
  • Enter these values:
    Name: Your Name Here
    Email: email@example.com (full e-mail address)
    Password: Use the email account’s password.
    Description: My Email Account
  • Tap Next
  • Tap IMAP at the top
  • Enter the following under Incoming Mail Server:
    Host Name: mail.example.com (where example.com is your domain)
    Username: email@example.com (full e-mail address)
    Password: Use the email account’s password.
  • Enter the following under Outgoing Mail Server: (Not Optional)
    Host Name: mail.example.com (where example.com is your domain)
    Username: email@example.com (full e-mail address)
    Password: Use the email account’s password.
  • Tap NEXT at the top.
  • After verification completes you should be able to send and receive email from the Mail app.
